The ‘cut out narrative’ is an on-going paper collage project based on reminiscing through the sense of past and (day) dream. Through cutting and replacing pieces of paper, she is able to portray the connection between existence in dream and absence in reality. She appreciates the beauty and worth in objects that are often looked over as commonplace or subtle things as well as in moments that are thought to be insignificant by discovering her own personal narrative in them, and she strives to capture, and communicate the significance that she discovers.
Jini Lee is a conceptual creator and currently based in New York. She majored in Interior Space Design in Seoul, South Korea and Visual Design in New York.
